Roy D. Rector  EnCE, CFCE

Roy is licensed by the State of Texas as a Master Peace Officer and is a "full time" employed Police Detective.  He is the founder and owner of RectorNet LLC, Data Acquisition & Analysis.  He operates the business during the afternoon, evening and weekend hours, outside of the normal working hours of his police duties.

Roy was licensed as a Texas Peace Officer in May 1987.  He was first commissioned in June 1987 with the Hereford Texas Police Department where he was employed as a police officer until August 1990.

In August of 1990, Roy was accepted into the police academy of a local police department.  Upon graduating from the academy on February 2, 1991, Roy received his commission as a police officer with this department and was assigned to patrol.  Upon promoting to Detective in December 1997, Roy was assigned to the Child Abuse Investigation Unit.

 In April 2000, a Child Exploitation section was created within this unit.  Roy was chosen as one of two detectives to man the unit and was assigned to CCAC (Computer Crimes Against Children) forensics.  Roy currently  is assigned to this agency's Computer Forensic Unit where he is responsible for the seizure and data analysis of computers associated to crime, as well as administrative concerns of this police department.
